Code Pink Boot Camp as seen on Real Housewives of Orange County

From the Orange County Register -

MISSION VIEJO - For Christina Lucy, there's nothing sissy about pink.

In fact, Lucy's Code Pink Boot Camp, which started in December on the grounds of Arroyo Vista Middle School in Rancho Santa Margarita, is a grueling, one-hour group workout for women.

"It's a tough session," says Amber Lama, 28, of Coto de Caza. "Some days it's so hard, I feel like I want to throw up."

But Lama will be among many other women who will go back to boot camp when a new session begins today. Not because they are masochists, but because they are true believers.

Students praise Lucy's tough love. They struggle through push-ups, sit-ups, the obstacle courses, pump weights, run when their legs feel like Jell-O and breathe hard through those jumping jacks.

"She is like this iron fist in a soft velvet outer covering," says Fiona Nelson, 44, of Rancho Santa Margarita. "She makes it very hard for us, but there is still so much camaraderie and motivation to keep us going."

But for the 42-year-old Lucy, Code Pink represents a coming of age, an assertion of independence. It's her first step toward stardom in Orange County's ever evolving fitness scene. It means being a personal trainer sought after by stars of the "Real Housewives." It means having your own fitness show on TV.

Lucy's ex-husband and business partner, John Spencer Ellis, is that fitness icon – a man with a multimillion dollar fitness empire who is a living, breathing Orange County fitness guru.

Lucy used to run her husband's Women's Adventure Boot Camp. She says the divorce was nothing but a "friendly separation of ways" between the two fitness pros.

But for her, this new venture is about finding her niche, her identity and proving to herself that she doesn't have to be in her former husband's shadow – or anyone else's for that matter – to be recognized as a fitness expert in her own right.

Code Pink is definitely turning heads her way. About 25 women enrolled in her first class in December.

Still, the independence and instant recognition are all new to Lucy.

Honestly, she says, it's all quite surprising

OVERWEIGHT, over bleached Christina Lucy is a LIAR! She has NEVER been on the"Real Housewives of Orange County" and NO ONE is seeking her out but, bill collectors. She is a SHAM and waste of money.

I totally agree, she claims to know how to lose weight yet she is fat. She was never on TV. I have "known" her for years, not a nice woman. She claims to be "Christian" too, not hardly. For the next girlfriend get together, I will decline if she is invited. My husband is friends with her ex-husband. He is a saint for putting up with her. I read another blog saying she got arrested? DUI probably. I wouldn't go to her camp if you paid me.
